Time and Time Again?
So, it comes down to this… The countdown to publication will soon begin and things are starting to take shape.
With the zero draft prologue re-written, the return of the copyedits from my brilliant, hard-working editor was a much needed boost and a sure sign that the beginning of the final push was in sight. By the way, don’t let anyone tell you that commas are easy…
Before the end of May, I will reveal the title of the first book in the ABC Chronicles trilogy, but now it’s time to introduce my talented cover designer, Rena Violet. To check out her stunning work, please head over to Covers by Violet. Rena is working on cover art concepts for the first book in the trilogy an I hope to be able to secure her services for the rest of the series. It’s a pleasure to work with her, and my editor, Aime. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have found such talented professionals who are sympathetic to my needs.
Once Rena and I have settled on the cover art, I will schedule a Cover Reveal and announce the publication date. But in the meantime, of course, it’s back to reviewing the copyedits and suggestions from Aime.
To be honest, I have not been counting the number of times I have read and/or re-written the manuscript after completing the first draft, but I would be very surprised if the total is less than twenty. Time and time again, and still finding new errors and new ways to improve.
Commas! Slippery blighters…
