The Disappearance of Uriah Quince

I am very pleased to announce that my reading of an early draft of the first half a short story entitled The Disappearance of Uriah Quince will be broadcast on community radio station AllFm(96.9) on Sunday October 30, 2022, between 4.00pm and 5.00pm during The Sunday Tea Show with Nat and Ruth. The full version of this short Gothic horror story will be included in my upcoming anthology of Victorian detective stories featuring DCI Jack Ironstone and DI Norville ‘Nutty’ Slack.

The story begins on All Hallows Eve, 1895 when Slack is summoned by his boss, DCI Jack Ironstone to Rawkshaw House, an ancient Gothic edifice on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal. Ironstone has made a discovery, so shocking that even this most stoic of investigators has been shaken to his core. Tune in on Sunday to discover the shocking truth behind The Disappearance of Uriah Quince.

Ironstone and Slack are featured in the second book of my trilogy, The ABC Chronicles, which follows on from the dramatic conclusion of The Connickle Conundrum.

The Connickle Conundrum is available in paperback, e-book and Kindle Unlimited from Amazon, here
