What’s in a name…

The day has finally arrived when I can reveal the title of the first book in my Steampunk trilogy, The ABC Chronicles.

I went through many iterations before I finally settled on this, hopefully, unique title. The original, working title, Northern Gothic, was never going to be the published title of the book but was a useful reminder when plotting the story in Campfire of the dark themes in sections of the narrative. Zebulon Ascendant and Corvus Rising, were two of the more notable of the many variations of the same thought but, with a number of novels in the fantasy genre having similar titles, I moved away to avoid confusion. This story is firmly grounded in an alternate Victorian Salford and Manchester!
